For example, Jeffrey Lepon combines an advanced understanding of American corporate law and international trade regulation with decades of immersion in Japanese business and culture. An Associate in Research at Harvard's Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies since 1992, he has lived and taught in Japan, speaks fluent Japanese, and has served on two Presidential Commissions on Japanese-American Relations.

David Holzworth focuses on the South American and European export of agricultural produce to the United States. While providing highly effective representation to his foreign trade association and multinational corporation clients, he's also our firm's leading trial lawyer both in civil litigation and administrative proceedings.

Yoshihiro Kato concentrates on international business advice and contract negotiation on behalf of Japanese and American companies doing business in the United States, China, and elsewhere around the world. He and David Holzworth together provide legal advice to the Semiconductor Board of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Association.

Currently on leave from the firm is William M. Berenson, who has been serving the Organization of American States in various legal capacities, including Director of Legal Services, Acting Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs, and General Counsel.
